How meditation helps children
Each child is different but here are some of the issues that meditating can help with:

- Letting go of stress
- Reducing anxiety
- Relaxing the body and mind
- Grounding excess physical energy
- Balancing energy
- Building self esteem
- Increasing happiness
- Connecting to others by developing kindness and compassion
- Enhancing their ability to deal with difficult situations (resilience)
- Processing difficult emotions such as anger, worry, grief and sadness
If a child learns techniques to process stress and negative emotions now, they help to prevent the accumulation of acute stress and blockages that so often cause problems in adulthood.
